Product Description
Organic Alfalfa Sprouting Seeds – One of the most popular, nutritious & delicious of all sprouting seeds. Alfalfa sprouts are very tasty, with a sweet, nut-like flavor.

Alfalfa sprouts are what people typically think of when you mention sprouts. They are the ones you commonly see at a salad bar. Rich in phytochemicals, they protect against cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis and fibrocystic breast disease. They stimulate natural killer cell activity, which strengthens the immune system.

What’s more, they are beneficial in reducing symptoms of PMS and menopause, including hot flashes. Furthermore, they contain high concentrations of antioxidants, the body’s defense against the destruction of DNA which is the cause of aging. Alfalfa sprouts are abundant sources of vitamins A, B, C, E and K, the minerals calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Also carotene, chlorophyll, amino acids and trace elements. They contain 35% protein. One pound of alfalfa seed produces 10-14 pounds of sprouts.

Seed Germination

]]>

If you wish to grow any flowers, herbs or vegetables from seeds, you must understand that every seed has its own germination rate. Which means, they have different period to change to seedling.

In fact germination process will also vary according to whether it grows in the cold of mountains or the humid tropical climate. Does this mean that if I live in tropical climate country, I do not have the chance to grow lovely Lavender which needs cold temperature? Every seed has its own possible way to germinate no matter where you wish to grow them.

The best way to obtain success in germinating seed is to try to mimick the natural conditions of the seed will experience in the wild. Copying method will improve the chance, especially with seeds that are difficult or are erratic germniators.

]]>

For example, some seeds have hard cover coats that are resistant to water. Germination rate will take a longer time if you plant this seed direct to your pot or garden. One of the example is Canna seeds. Naturally in the wild, the seed coating can be broken by a sudden change in temperature or seed falling from its plat and being step by humans or animals.

To expose this seed, what you can do is to file the seed coating by rubbing rough ground or using sand-paper. This method is called Scarification.

Another way is to soak seed in the water about a week till you noticed the inner skin expose. Once the seed exposed, gently press the seed into the surface of the substrate. Either in pot or tray, let it under the white light for at least 6 -8 hours straight. Seeds need water to penetrate the outer seed coat to begin germinating process. But make sure not to overwater and keep well drain.

Snowblower or snowthrower for home use

What is a snowblower and how is it useful to you. What are the different types and what to look for when choosing a snowblower. Best snowblower for women. The easiest way to describe it is to compare it to using a lawnmower, much the same way as you push a lawnmower along, you do the same with a snowblower. A snowblower has a impeller that is powerered by an engine and with the help of a belt it spins which pushes the snow up into a chute that blows the snow in the correct direction of choice.
