Price: $495.00 The 2007-2012 Outlook for Nursery, Garden Center, and Farm Supply Stores in the United States Product Description This study covers the latent demand outlook for nursery, garden center, and farm supply stores across the states and cities of the United States. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given some 12,920 cities across in the United States. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it’s state and of the United States is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-à-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each state and city, latent demand estimates are created for nursery, garden center, and farm supply stores. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved. In an effort to save money, I plant a lot of my bedding plants from seed instead of buying blooming plants. Does anyone know how long those plants that nurseries sell have been growing? It seems like my seedlings (particularly dianthus, sweet william, and snapdragon) are very straggly that whole first growing season, winter over nicely (we have fairly mild winters), and look great the following spring.
here at my house the temp. is 38-40 degrees I wonder if I should plant them now or try and wait till the temp goes up. There is strawberry plants, buterfly bush and a wild flowering rose. If I do not plant them now what should I do with them so they will be ok until I plant them?

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the cities in Japan). This study gives, however, my estimates for the latent demand, or the P.I.E., for nursery, garden center, and farm supply stores in Japan. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided and concentrated across the cities and regional markets of Japan. For each prefecture, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time. In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on strategic planning at graduate schools of business. My mothers front yard needs some sprucing up, but neither she nor I have a lot of money to spend. I would like to plant some flowers and/or small shrubs, nothing too fancy, just want to make it look nice. It’s an activity that my kids (6 & are willing to help with so it also can not be overly complicated. I have NOT been successful in the past with trying to have a flower bed, they look great for a little bit, but eventually just die. So any tips on what to plant, where to get the lowest price, or ways to make them live longer would be greatly appreciated! ~Thank You~
