I’m thinking about building a garden shed in my backyard. Has anyone ever slept in one and put a cot inside? Did you close the door?

Does anyone reccomend this experience to rough it? ocassionally?
Was your treehouse or garden shed weatherproof?

Yes. . . I’ve slept in both, plus a big a machine shed, barns, trees, and just outside on the ground. It did not seem roughing it to me, just a lot of fun doing something new :)

2nd question: My treehouse was not weather proof, but it was a temporary thing. . . My shed is, and I plan on moving out there for awhile to make some extra money renting my house to some union guys :)

oh my god! i just answered your question about building a garden shed to live in, when i came across this question. i said why don’t you just live in a tree house! lol! when i want to rough it, i go camping. get a tent, it’s cheaper, easier and waterproof. buy an air mattress $20-$40.

Many times when I was a kid. Even in my 20′s liked to sleep outside. Near 50 now and my wife does not understand why I will sleep outside when the weather is not too bad. It must be some nature thing. Just feels right. Door open.
