I’m renting a property with a lawn and a lawn mower included. I was wondering how to properly mow the edges of lawns around the concrete pavements and bushes. Is it safe to mow onto the pavement or from the pavement onto the lawn? I’m afraid to damage the blades.

Get a trimmer (weed-whacker). They can run anywhere from $50 up to $200.
You can get them in Electric- or Gas-powered. The Gas-powered usually take a mixture of gas and oil, so make sure you know what you need before you get it.

If you are using a riding lawn mower, you can raise the blades to 3 inches, which is normal, and ride over the places if they are below 3 inches.
A weed eater will cut those. You can get them cheap from Walmart.
