Synthetic soils are often best for container gardens as they have nutrients such as vermiculture already added to a calculated mix that includes peat moss and sawdust.
Make sure you that your soil will be able to hold an adequate amount of moisture and will not support the growth of weeds.
5) There are countless options to consider when choosing containers for your garden.
Depending on specific requirements for your vegetables, you can use clay, ceramic, or even plastic containers for your garden. If you do not have access to such materials you can use more readily available alternatives such as bushel baskets, drums, gallon cans, tubs or even wooden boxes.
6) Finally, it is recommended that you take great care while harvesting your vegetables. Additionally, when possible, saving seeds for future use is also encouraged.
