The pods that you find in most ponds are water lilies. They are one form of aquatic gardening and the most common. The pots that they come in have a kind of clay in it and then they have rocks over the top to keep the soil in. The person that grows the plant can also buy fertilizer for the plant to get the flower for the plant, for ponds that are in your backyard do not have the right nutrients for the flower to appear. To keep the flower alive throughout the winter, you have to take the flower out of the water and take it inside. You also have to clip off the old leaves to keep them alive and healthy. Finally, because you brought the flower inside for the winter, you now have to take it back out when the temperature of the water is warm enough for the plant to live.
